Kim’s Signs of Being Abused
I realized I was in an abusive relationship when I tried to break off with him and he told me how he can see down the line that I will regret it because he is the best thing that will ever come into my life. No one will love me like he does. He then went on to say I led him to believe there could be a future for us (until he started trying to control my thoughts) there “may” have been.

Kim’s Story of Abuse
When I met Mr. Abuser he very quickly wanted to spend all his free time with me. I work 7 days a week so it was a little challenging. I did like him, so I worked it into my schedule.
When I didn’t see him, he “needed” to talk at least once or twice a day; would send numerous texts throughout the day which I wouldn’t respond to because my jobs require my full attention.
I was dating someone else at the time I met him so, in all fairness, my availability was not exactly up to par with his.
Now a year later, on numerous occasions I’ve told him this is not working for me and that I wish him well. I only wish happiness in his life. A few days ago we met with the hopes to be “friends” but he took the opportunity to express himself, loudly and abusively.
