Our Story
Verbal Abuse Mentoring Program
I’m very proud of the former Verbal Abuse Journals Mentoring Program. We helped hundreds of people who lived in abusive relationships or had left them. I will always be grateful to Janet Rhodes for supervising the program and later taking full responsibility for it.
Before handing the program over to Janet completely, I renamed it Domestic Abuse Survivors’ Help (DASH). DASH continued the work of providing confidential, email-based support to people who were still experiencing abuse as well as those dealing with the emotions and thoughts that can remain after an abusive relationship.
DASH is no longer an active support program and is not accepting new participants. I remain deeply appreciative of the work that was done through both the Verbal Abuse Journals Mentoring Program and DASH, and of the people who trusted us enough to reach out for support.
