Linda’s Story of Abuse

For the past 2+ months, I have lived with my son who is 47. This was necessitated by a job loss and no place else to go. He is the only one of my 4 children that could afford to help me and he greatly resents this.

He came to move me and it started then. He got right in my face and started making demands and criticizing me. When I tried to defend myself, he got right in my face and very loudly said “SHUT UP!”

He had gotten a truck that was too small. When we drove away, many of my possessions were left sitting in the house and yard. He said it was junk I didn’t need. During the 8 hour drive to his place, there were more confrontations. This took place on a Sunday.

On Wednesday, I swallowed a full prescription of [Rx medicine]. Obviously, I wasn’t successful. This is only the first chapter. I will continue later. Need to rest.
