Mallory’s Signs of Being Abuse
Reading criminal profiling books – they made me start thinking about people’s personalities and how they react to things in their life. I realized my boyfriend shared some of their characteristics and that maybe our relationship wasn’t normal or healthy.

Mallory’s Story of Abuse
My boyfriend is kind, loving, funny, sweet, and…verbally abusive. He calls me names, insults me, gets mad at insignificant things, always has to have his way, punishes me (verbally) for not doing what he wants, withholds his love and affection just because, and makes me feel small, insignificant, and like I am a horrible girlfriend.
I just recently realized that something wasn’t right, and after talking to trusted friends and family, confronted him. During our long talks, in which I detailed how I felt about him and our relationship and warned him I was going to end the relationship, he broke down and apologized for everything. He claims that he will be different from now on, and I promised him I would consider everything some more before I made my final decision.
As of now, I am still thinking and considering my options.
