Love this post and can somewhat relate. It is so hard to try to NOT alter my thoughts/words/actions to try to avoid or alleviate what his reactions will be. I've been so used to walking on egg shells for 10 years and avoiding any of his ugliness that now I'm just being me and it's hard to remember who exactly she is and how strong she is (especially with prayer and help from God).
